Get involved! I'm from out of state, so I came in not knowing a single person. The marching band is where I made almost all of my friends, then I made more friends from all of the other organizations and activities I joined. I also recommend watching a ton of YouTube videos to get excited about college. I've made a ton of how-to college videos on my channel (MyLifeAsJordan), and I also recommend Kristee Vetter's channel for how-to college!
I originally found Towson when I googled "Universities with Deaf Studies". Towson came up, and I thought the pictures of campus looked really cool. Then I checked out the marching band, and I knew this was where I had to be.
That really depends on my mood. Sometimes I prefer the CLA (College of Liberal Arts Building) because there are so many places to hang out, and it's fairly quiet. Sometimes I prefer the CFA (Center for the Arts) because it is a gorgeous building, and I always have friends there to hang out with. Other times I just like being in my dorm. My friends who go to college back in West Virginia have visited me and told me how amazing our dorms are here compared to theirs, so they really are a nice place to hang out. Sometimes I prefer PAWs for its chill atmosphere.
Towson is the perfect fit for me. I could write a whole book about what I love about Towson. It has so many options to major in, and my major is a pretty rare one. I love the atmosphere, and the people, and the opportunities that have been presented to me just for being a student here. This really is a great place.
