My advice to incoming students is to focus on time management skills and focus on yourself! College is hard, and it's a period of life with a lot of growth- cognitively, physically, academically, etc. Time management will be your best friend when it comes to juggling your classes, sports/clubs/organizations, personal time, and other things. Having a schedule will help you SO much! Focus on yourself too, if you're doing unwell, you can't expect to do well in other things! Listen to your mind and body, build that foundation, and you're sure to grow! (:
My favorite TU event is the football games! I may be biased since I was in the TU Marching Band for 3 years, but I love the football games. The energy is unmatchable, and it is always such a great time!
A fun fact about me is that when I was 6 years old, I had a giraffe steal a peanut butter and jelly sandwich from me through a car window! I was scared of giraffes after that for a few years! Side note: giraffe tongues are prickly!!
I'll give one of each! My favorite TU tradition is to rub Doc the Tiger's ears before each semester! There are 3 or 4 Doc the Tiger statues around campus, and the legend goes that if you rub Doc's ears before classes begin, he'll give you good luck! My favorite events on campus are without a doubt the football games! I might be bias as I was in the Towson University Marching Band for 3 years, but the energy and atmosphere at the games are hard to compare to anything else. They are so much fun, and being surrounded by the student body is amazing.
