What advice would you give a prospective student?

-Be open to new experiences and opportunities to put yourself out there. You never know what you may end up discovering and loving. - Choosing or changing a major can feel scary but college is the place to find what you are passionate about. Don't be afraid to go out of your comfort zone and take classes in various disciplines to discover what you really want to do. - Be bold and ask people to hang out or grab a meal. Making friends in college is seemingly daunting but once you begin this process, you'll find it is much easier than it seems. -Value your work and don't rush your assignments. What you are doing now could potentially be what you are doing in the future so enjoy the process! - Try to balance your schooling and social life in order to make the most out of your college experience. Both will allow you to have a well-rounded college experience and prepare you for the future.

Why did you choose Towson University?

Towson University had always been in the back of my mind, as I had an older sister who had toured here but decided to take a different route. When It was my turn to apply to school, I was so excited to say that I could apply here and that I got in! Towson is a beautiful campus and has so many opportunities for majors and getting involved. This was especially important for me because I came into college with my major being undecided. I am also an active and proud member of the Towson University Honors College, which was another driving factor behind my decision to attend here. The most important thing I found about Towson was that it felt like home; the people, community, and environment here are truly unmatched to other places and make me so excited to be a tiger.

Favorite Spot on Campus

My favorite place on campus is the Center for Liberal Arts building. Not only is it beautiful, but it is also the home to my major. It goes beyond just having classes in a building but rather building a community both in and out of the classroom. I take advantage of the various studying areas and open classrooms it has to offer; a huge perk for any type of student. Other than academic buildings, I often take advantage of my dorms' quiet and community rooms, places where I have gotten a ton of work done and also made many life-long friends.

What do you love most about Towson University?

Towson University is in an ideal location that allows for off-campus adventures and nearby internships. It is a place full of opportunity so long as you take initiative. Towson truly helps you to succeed and achieve your goals with its many resources, activities, and amazing staff members. Not only will you want to stay on campus, but you will also want to succeed here. While academics have been successful and a source of focus for me and so many others, what I find most rewarding is the people I have met and chosen to surround myself with. The community and academics here make Towson University my home away from home and I am so grateful to be here.
