Tour Guide at Towson University
Class of 2021
Hometown: Fairfax, VA
Major: Metropolitan Studies
What I love most about Towson, is the events they have on campus. There are always activities on campus for students to get involved in and make new friends, and spoiler alert they always hand out a ton of good free stuff.
I chose Towson because for my whole life I lived in suburban of northern Virginia, and I wanted a real change of scenery, at Towson there is so much to do and having places right near campus like uptown are always fun, and Charm City is few minutes away by car. Choosing Towson helped me broaden my horizons and gain experience in a new environment.
I would advise a prospective student to remember to stay focused but not too focused. Having time management skills are so important at college and making sure you put your schoolwork first and valuing getting it done the most, but also make sure you don't over stress and overwhelm yourself, hang out with friends and go out to eat, just make sure everything is done in moderation.
My favorite place on campus is a tough call between my room and Burdick Field. My room because I live in the brand new Residence Tower with all the fancy upgrades and amazing air conditioner, I always love the view from my window as I can see the city as I sit in bed. Burdick field because one of my passions is football that I play at the intramural level. I love playing outside and especially with my friends I always have a good time exercising outdoors.
