Get involved! There are so many groups around campus, and this is where you meet the bulk of your friends. There are people here who have the same interests as you, go out and find them!
My favorite place on campus is freedom square. There are always people out and about, and there are plenty of study spots outside that you can hang at and just enjoy the weather or hang with friends. It is also a short 30 seconds from ABP, and they have the BEST Mac'n'cheese ever.
I chose Towson for multiple reasons. For starters, it is the perfect distance from home; just far enough away that my parents weren't breathing down my neck 24/7, yet close enough that should I need anything it is just a short 45-minute drive home. I also chose Towson because I have only ever heard good things about them. I heard my department I’m studying in was good and wanted to be a part of it.
What I love most about Towson is the feeling you get as you walk around and the setting of the school. Towson is a decently sized school so there are quite a bit of people walking around, this also presents many opportunities for clubs, organizations, etc. however, even though there are a decent amount of people walking around, it never feels like there are that many people at one time. It feels more like a family. Classes are typically around 30 people and you get to know the professors.
