Alumnus at Towson University
Class of 2019

I love that we're a Goldilocks school. It's a big school with a small campus feel. Your professors will know you so you'll never be a number in the classroom and on the other hand you can also go to the football game and cheer on the Tigers with 13,000 other students. You can meet someone new every day, but you'll also walk past at least one person you know on your way to class too. It's not too big, but it's not too small either. Just like Goldilocks!
My favorite place on campus is the Glen Bridge. It is just so beautiful to see the leave change, the snow fall, and the creek run. It makes me feel like I'm not in a city. It's our nature side of campus.
I chose Towson because I wanted to be near a city and this was the best of both worlds. Towson is a beautiful and safe area. It's a little slower pace than the city but if and when I want that excitement it's only a 20 minute drive away. We also have the top Education program in the state of Maryland. I loved that I would be in the classroom as early has sophomore year. I felt like the program would really prepare me for my career and I believe it has so far!
No matter what university you attend, "you're going to get out of it, what you put into it." You're in charge of making or breaking this experience. So, introduce yourself, join a club, find your people, find your passion, and push yourself out of your comfort zone. I've grown so much within these last three years and it was all because I took this same advice from my tour guide.
