Hometown: Norrisville, MD

Major: Theatre Studies

Minor: Deaf Studies & Family Studies

Why did you choose Towson University?

People at Towson are so welcoming, and I felt that the students and professors that I met during the application process genuinely cared about my success.

What is an academic experience - like a book, project, or research paper - that has had an impact on your life?

Last semester I took an honors seminar on positive psychology. I wrote a research paper on the effects of self-compassion on body image, and it drastically changed the way I view and treat myself. I apply lessons from that class in my everyday life, as well as in my theatre work.

Why did you choose the Honors College?

I wanted to broaden my experiences and explore new topics outside of my major. It's also a great way to meet people!

What is your favorite aspect of the Honors community?

The activities! Clubs, volunteering, game nights, lots of free food, trips to Baltimore & DC, semi-formal, and more. What's not to love?
