My favorite place on campus is Freedom Square. This is the "heart" of campus due to the surrounding academic building. It is a great place to chill, hang with friends, and maybe do some homework on a nice day. Sometimes I see my friends walking by and I get to say hi.
Just Breathe! Remember everyone is in the same boat. Participate in clubs and organizations that you are interested in. We offer more than 300 groups on campus. In addition, we hold fun campus events. This is one of the best ways to make friends and be a part of the community. College may just be studying and academics, make time to have fun. You may even learn something new about yourself.
I chose Towson due to its proximity to the city and the major they offer. As a Baltimore County school, it is a short drive to downtown/inner harbor where you could explore or look for a job or internship. We also have uptown as well. Towson offers a great career center that helps guide students in the right direction of their passion. There are limited schools that offer my major, so I was grateful to declare something I was love to learn about. The courses are quite interesting.
Towson University offers school spirit. While students are working hard, I always see smiling faces around campus. From homecoming week to football games and the exciting venues we have, there is a positive atmosphere here. The diversity is growing which makes us very proud. Though it may be a big school, you are bound to see someone you know every day.
