The number of opportunities there are to be involved outside of academic work including soccer and other organizations are a big part of what makes TU the perfect place for me.
I would advise all prospective students to be aware of the amount of personal and intellectual growth you will experience at a school like TU. Not only will you learn and earn a degree, but you will also learn about yourself by learning about others, which for me is an invaluable opportunity.
When I was applying to schools, I applied based on what I wanted to major in. Once I decided on Secondary Education, Towson was the first choice. It's close enough to home where I can return if need be, but far enough to the point that it's a different environment from what I grew up in. Towson itself and Baltimore as a whole have a large amount of opportunity for exploring and finding fun things to do when I'm not giving tours or doing academic work.
The Liberal Arts building sometimes seems like a second home to me because that's where I choose to spend most of my study time. I usually find a quiet space or an empty classroom and get a lot of my work done there. The cafe is a nice perk too!
