Tour Guide at Towson University
Class of 2022
Hometown: Manchester, MD
Major: Theatre Arts
On a random day, you'll most likely find me in the scene shop located on the third floor of the CFA. During orientation over the summer, I got asked a lot, "what's your go-to quiet place on campus?" I find it funny that my "quiet place" is the place where power tools are going off & rock music is playing over the speakers. I find the scene shop comforting cause I am a design & production student in the theatre department. These are my people! You'll most likely see me doing homework, talking with friends, or painting some scenery while I'm in there. It's a great place to hangout & I love everyone in there!
TU has helped me become more independent. College isn't like high school where your family members know anything & everything about your schedule & success. I manage my classes on my own, I apply for jobs on my own, & I put myself out there to get involved in student activities. Above all that, I have to maintain all of these things in my schedule on my own. This is a skill that I will definitely benefit from in the future!
Make the most of your experience. If you thought high school went by fast, college goes by even faster. Here I am already in my senior year & I don't know where all that time went. So, the best advice I can give is to put yourself out there whether you join a club, a sport, or get an on campus position. These years will pass by before you even know it so don't blink & don't sit on the side lines. Make some memories!
The top thing on my Towson University bucket list is to design the set for a show on Towson's MainStage in the CFA. This goal of mine will be accomplished in the Spring of 2022 & I am so excited!
