Tour Guide at Towson University
Class of 2021
Hometown: Ledgewood, NJ
Major: Psychology
My favorite place on campus is Au Bon Pain or ABP. It has the best food, in my opinion, and it is centralized on campus so it is easily accessible to get to. It is the perfect spot to go before, between, or after class to socialize with friends or to sit and catch up on homework.
When I took my tour, the second I stepped on Towson's campus I felt like I belonged here. It felt like home to me. Looking around I saw so many people wearing Towson gear which showed how much school spirit there is. I love how it is in the middle of a city so there is always something to do. I liked how there is a vast range of clubs and activities to join giving unlimited opportunities to engage with other students. I also like how if there is a club that is not already implemented, you can get some friends together and start your club, showing that there is always something that perfectly suits you.
I love the location of Towson. It is right in the middle of a town, therefore it is surrounded by restaurants, the mall, and any other convenience store you can think of. I think for the number of students we have the campus does not feel too big, yet also doesn't feel too small. I also love how many opportunities there are to get involved on campus and there is always something to do no matter what your interests are.
I would tell a prospective student to make the most of every opportunity. Whether it's getting involved in clubs or organizations, talking to the person next to them in class to make a new friend, or staying on campus as much as possible and not rely on going home. Everyone is looking to meet new people so initiate a conversation!
